Rare copy of this leaflet, designed to promote the publication of an anthology, I Paroliberi Futuristi, which would never be published (see lot 9).

Each of the four pages contains a paroliberist composition:

- MARINETTI. Mountain + vallate + strade x Joffre (on the cover): “entirely typographic, with the abstract psychic onomatopoeia of a dynamic Verbalisation of the road that expresses the state of mind of Marshal Joffre in his car, heading to the front lines” (G. Lista, Qu’est-ce que le Futurisme?, p. 711). This composition was one of the fold-out plates in his 1919 book Les mots en liberté Futuristes, under the title “Après la Marne, Joffre visita le front en auto” (After the battle of the Marne, Joffre toured the frontlines in a car p. 102);

- CANGIULLO. Le Coriste (p. 2), which uses ‘humanized letters’ later known as the ‘surprise alphabet’’ (ibid.);

- GOVONI. Il palombaro (p. 3), which is “focused on a balanced integration between two manual approaches - calligraphy and sketching - in a childlike primitivist style”. (ibid.);

- BUZZI. Bombardamento aereo (p. 4): “uses calligraphic letters that reproduce the shape of typographic characters” (ibid.).

Rare exemplaire de ce tract, destiné à promouvoir la parution d’une anthologie, I Paroliberi futuristi, qui ne verra jamais le jour (voir lot 9).

Chacune des quatre pages comporte une composition motlibriste :

- MARINETTI. Montagne + vallate + strade x Joffre (en couverture) : "entièrement typographique, avec les onomatopées psychiques abstraites d’une Verbalisation dynamique de la route qui exprime l’état d’âme du maréchal Joffre à bord de sa voiture, se dirigeant vers le front" (G. Lista, Qu’est-ce que le futurisme ?, p. 711). Cette composition constituera l’une des planches dépliantes de son ouvrage Les mots en liberté futuristes en 1919, sous le titre "Après la Marne, Joffre visita le front en auto" (p. 102) ;

- CANGIULLO. Le Coriste (p. 2), qui "utilise les ‘lettres humanisées’ appelées plus tard ‘alphabet à surprise’" (ibidem) ;

- GOVONI. Il palombaro (p. 3), qui est "ax[é] sur une intégration équilibrée entre deux approches manuelles, la calligraphie et le dessin, dans un style primitiviste enfantin" (ibidem) ;

- BUZZI. Bombardamento aereo (p. 4) : "recourt à des lettres calligraphiées reproduisant la forme des caractères typographiques" (ibidem).
